Our expertise

Liver Cysts

Fluid-filled sacs in the liver that are usually benign and asymptomatic. Larger cysts can cause discomfort and may require drainage or surgery.

Liver Cancer, Hepatectomy

Liver cancer is one of the most serious forms of cancer and can be lethal if untreated. Early detection and timely treatment can significantly improve survival.

Gallstones & Gallbladder Cancer

Gallstone attacks can cause recurring, severe abdominal pain. Timely treatment reduces the risk of pancreatitis and cholangitis.

Pancreatic Cyst

Fluid collections in the pancreas that may be benign or pre-cancerous. Management depends on their size and risk features, and may involve monitoring or surgical removal.

Pancreatic Cancer, Whipple Procedure

Pancreatic cancer progresses quickly but can be curable if diagnosed early. The Whipple procedure is often recommended to remove the tumour and improve outcomes.

Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis may be acute or chronic, commonly caused by gallstones or excessive alcohol intake. In severe cases, it can lead to organ damage and may require surgical management.

Possible Signs

Are you experiencing the following symptoms?

If your symptoms are persistent or worsening, it may be time to consult an HPB specialist to rule out underlying issues.

Severe or persistent abdominal pain, and swelling

Raised liver, pancreatic or colon tumour markers (AFP, CA19-9, CA125, CEA)

Jaundice (Yellowing of skin or eyes)

Right abdominal pain radiating to the shoulder or back

Dark urine or pale-coloured stools

Unexplained or rapid weight loss

Ensure timely treatment

Don’t overlook the warning signs

Some symptoms may appear minor at first, but they can be early signs of more serious underlying conditions. Timely diagnosis and treatment can help prevent complications and support better long-term outcomes.

  • Progression to Liver Cancer: Subtle symptoms like fatigue, jaundice or discomfort may be early signs.
  • Risk of Liver Failure: Cirrhosis or hepatitis can cause lasting liver damage if left untreated.
  • Development of Bile Duct Cancer: Inflammation or blockage in the bile ducts can become cancerous.
  • Gallbladder Infections and Perforations: Pain, nausea or fever may indicate a serious infection.
  • Chronic Pancreatitis: Ongoing inflammation may lead to lasting pain or diabetes.
  • Pancreatic Cysts That May Turn Cancerous: Some cysts require monitoring to prevent cancer development.

Prompt medical attention can prevent progression and reduce the need for more intensive treatments
